El Silencio de Los Angeles Cloud Forest
Private Biological Reserve
Los Angeles Cloud Forest Private Biological Reserve is a unique experience for tourists coming to Costa Rica. To visitors used to the promotional images of the rain forest, the cloud forest seems a mystical being, an alien presence shrouded in a cloud of mystery that is the habitat to a variety of flora'n fauna similar to its counterpart in Monteverde |

Once you penetrate the clouds, the mystery is over and the excitement begins. The air currents from the Northern plains join the Pacific and the Atlantic to fuse over Villablanca, creating the climatic conditions for a forest that technically should not exhist because of its relative lower altitude located below the normal cloud forest range. Thus a refreshing temperature that's very comfortable and much closer to San Jose. |

Los Angeles Cloud Forest Private Biological Reserve is also the gateway to a 7,000 ha. (17,500 acre) protected nature corridor. All this bio-diversity, and only an hour from the San Jose Intl. Airport, on a scenic and well maintained highway connecting to La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano. >>
