Guided V.I.P Tour
This tour departs Villablanca at 8:00 a.m., taking the road to San Ramon, then the Pan-American Highway. During the drive your guide will discuss the generalities of Costa Rica, its history and politics, as well as identify the different crops which are located along the tour: coffee, tobacco, shade trees and the colorful flowering trees.
You will enter the town of Grecia, passing by the only metallic Catholic church in Latin America, built over 100 years ago, with an organ from Germany that still functions today. You'll continue to traverse the Poas volcano’s foothills, observing other crops, such as sugar cane, fern plantations, flowers for export, plus dairy farming.
Once at the volcano’s summit, you will enter the National Park, learning about the evolution, history, vegetation, and principal eruptions of the volcano. We leave the volcano to enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch before going on to the Waterfalls and Butterfly Gardens.
From here you will continue on to the town of Sarchi, home of the typical artisans of Costa Rica, where you will visit an oxcart factory, the tour concludes as you return to the hotel for dinner and perhaps a massage treatment at Serenity Spa.
