Eco-thermals Hot Springs	Arenal Volcano

This tour departs Villablanca at 1:00 p.m., traveling along the continental divide into the San Carlos plains, passing several hydroelectric projects and lush tropical and cloud forest habitats.

Along the way your guide will explain the Costa Rican dairy farm production and the characteristics of different crops located in San Carlos, including ornamental plants, pineapple, cassava, papaya and plantains. Upon arriving into the town of La Fortuna, you'll learn about the importance of tourism to the area.

There you'll observe the Arenal volcano, clarity permitting, and discuss its history, including its origins as a volcano and its most important recent eruptions. After a short walk and photo opportunities, you head to private thermal hot springs to relax and enjoy the medicinal waters. After leaving the hot springs, you will visit a local restaurant for dinner where you can again observe the Arenal volcano and its eruptions, if the weather permits, before returning to the hotel.
